MAKE EDIBLE SPOONS OUT OF SLICED BREAD
Easy to make no pastry needed,
Even Children will enjoy making them,
Will keep for weeks in air tight box,
No waste even the crusts can be used,
A loaf of sliced bread makes approximately 48 spoons
Whilst I was on holiday in France, I noticed that at parties and social gatherings canapés and hors d'oeuvres where served on ceramic spoons, most department stores sold a cheaper plastic version, this got me thinking how much nicer it would be to have an edible spoon no washing up and no throwing away plastic. After much experimenting with various dough mixtures all of which appeared too thick and very fragile I came up with the idea of using sliced bread, no mess in making pastry available everywhere and zero waste as the left over crusts when the spoon shape has been cut out is also baked and used for little pieces for the children or made into breadcrumbs in the food processor
The fillings that can be put on are endless and they can also be used for dips. If you have any suggested filling etc I would like to hear from you by Email....
